The other BIG thing is a work in progress.
The Electronic Association International™ is developing a career track for the computer types. The electronics folks have had theirs, and the Home Automation (RESI) series is done as well.
This does not compete with CompTIA, at all. This is a more vertical track for those that don't want to say, create web stuffs, or be an MCSE, etc.
An easy way to start with ETA-I is additional certification without new tests, available here.
